Sign Up For Wilderness First Aid Training!

This Spring Break, March 16-17, HavOC is hosting a free Wilderness First Aid (WFA) course! The course will be on-campus and completely paid for. Sign up here!

WFA is a 16-hour certification course that teaches wilderness first aid basics.

This course is provided by Blue Mountain Medic, a licensed training company of Wilderness Medicine Associates International (WMAI). You can learn more about the course here.

This course is great if you:

  • Want to lead HavOC or PCOP trips! (Every PCOP trip must have at least one WFA-certified leader, and WFA is important for all trips)
  • Want to work in the outdoors! Many outdoor organizations require WFA certifications.
  • Spend lots of time outdoors (hiking, climbing, etc.)!
  • Are curious about wilderness medicine, or medicine generally! This course also includes a CPR certification.
  • Want to save $200-$300 on a WFA course! These courses can be quite expensive, but HavOC is providing WFA free of charge, on campus!

No experience in either first aid or outdoors activities is required to take part in this course!

Though housing continues through Spring Break, those on the Full Meal Plan will not have their meals covered until the night of Sunday, March 17.

This is just an interest form and does not guarantee a spot in the course. If you have any questions, please reach out to haverfordoutdoorsclub@gmail.com.
